how to use the Tosca automation tool's file upload option

Does anyone know how to use the Tosca automation tool's file upload option?
Can a test that chooses a file from your PC and uploads it online be automated? Even when I tried entering the path in the Openfile dialogue box, nothing changed. I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this.
